The annual ritual of Back-to-School shopping is a little easier thanks to a Sales Tax Holiday in the state of Virginia. Friday, August 5 through Sunday August 7 is a perfect time to head to Spotsylvania Towne Centre because there will be no sales tax on some of the most important items the kids need for the coming school year. This applies to items of clothing and shoes priced $100 or less and supplies under $20 in value. This tax-free status applies to each individual item, with no limit on total quantities consumers purchase. Additionally, there will be no sales tax on qualifying emergency preparedness equipment, EnergyStar™ and WaterSense™ items. There are some limits on the tax-free designation. For more specific details of the Sales Tax Holiday, visit: http://www.tax.virginia.gov/content/sales-tax-holiday
